Our recent project was truly a one-of-a-kind adventure! Tasked with styling seven levels of corporate office space for an Awards Day in Sydney, B Styled By Belinda Rubbino drew inspiration from the iconic world of Super Mario. Each floor represented a different character, complete with themed florals, props, and custom graphics to bring the game to life.
Level 7 - Terrace area: Mario and Luigi Floor
The essence of Mario and Luigi's characters was captured with bold reds and greens, combined with floral arrangements that echoed their classic outfit colours. We added golden “?” blocks, green pipes, and Super Stars to recreate their world. Arcade games were set up for employees to enjoy during lunchtime.
Level 6 - Café: Rainbow Lane
Adding an extra dash of magic, Rainbow Lane was a vibrant pathway connecting all seven levels. Styled with a kaleidoscope of colours, it featured bold floral arrangements and custom rainbow-themed props, such as traffic lights and track signs. We even designed the graphics around the café area, inspired by Mario Kart’s iconic Rainbow Road.
Level 5 - Donkey Kong
Creating jungle vibes with Donkey Kong: Tropical palm trees were paired with vibrant florals in shades of orange and white. The setup was filled with bananas and bongos, along with the iconic golden coins and Donkey Kong’s signature tie. Wooden barrels and rustic rope accents transported us straight into Donkey Kong’s jungle world, making this level a perfect tribute to the character.
Level 4 - Bowser
Bringing the King of the Koopas to life: This bold and dynamic Bowser-themed level was designed to transport guests straight into the lair of the King of the Koopas. With a powerful display of fiery reds, golds, and dramatic textures, the scene evoked Bowser’s imposing presence. A dark, dramatic custom backdrop, oversized chains, and lava-inspired elements set an intense atmosphere. Bowser’s graphic stood as the centrepiece, commanding attention and adding an element of excitement. Spiky accents and a touch of greenery balanced the design, creating a visually striking environment that captured Bowser’s powerful persona.
Level 3 - Toad
This enchanting setup captured the whimsical charm of the Mushroom Kingdom, with vibrant oversized mushrooms and colourful florals setting the stage for a delightful Toad-inspired scene. The lush green backdrop and oversized fantasy florals brought an element of magic to the space. A mix of pink, blue, and green spotted mushrooms, paired with golden coins, invited guests into Toad’s playful world. Pops of red and white florals added sophistication to this fun, game-inspired design.
Level 2 - Princess Peach
Princess Peach’s Castle level was one of the standout areas of our Super Mario-themed event. We created a magical atmosphere inspired by Peach’s serene yet regal world. The backdrop featured a grand illustration of Peach’s castle in soft pink hues with golden coins floating in the sky. The space was designed to transport visitors straight into her royal kingdom. We incorporated a lush floral display in shades of pink and yellow to reflect Peach’s gentle elegance, while a tufted pink chair on a fluffy rug served as the perfect spot for photo opportunities. A crown, perched on a golden stand, added an extra regal touch. The surrounding greenery and floral arrangements brought the castle’s entrance to life, making it a charming and whimsical escape within the office.
The client and their employees were thrilled as they navigated through a space that felt like stepping into the game itself. The vibrant colours, iconic characters, and playful design elements created an immersive experience that went beyond traditional corporate styling.
