There's nothing more satisfying for a wedding stylist than seeing a vision come to life. The reception for Gabriella and Daniel's wedding at Sergeants Mess Chowder Bay was a true labour of love. With breathtaking views and sleek modern design, the venue provided the perfect canvas for a timeless and elegant celebration.
When I first met with Gabriella, she envisioned a simple, modern, and romantic wedding that felt timeless. I believe we delivered exactly that.
We crafted a palette of whites and lush greens, creating an overall look of modern elegance. The all-white palette, accented by soft, lush greenery, set the tone for the entire day.
A Grand Entrance
Guests were welcomed into an elegant entrance adorned with white candles and bud vases filled with white roses. This romantic walkway led them to a beautifully designed seating chart by Bstyled by Belinda and @starfruitdesign, enhanced with lush florals and candles for a standout feature.
Stunning Centrepieces
To create visual interest in the reception area, we designed alternating tall and short centrepieces. The glass candle holders, both tall and short, were showstoppers, filled with flickering candles that created a romantic atmosphere. The varying heights added dimension without overwhelming the tables. Delicate white floral arrangements around the base of the candle holders softened the look, allowing the candles to remain the focal point while adding a touch of nature and warmth.
We kept the table numbers and menus minimal and modern, ensuring they seamlessly integrated into the overall design without drawing attention away from the stunning decor. One of the highlights for me was how effortlessly all the elements came together, transforming the reception into a serene yet glamorous setting for the couple and their guests.

The Bridal Table: A Centrepiece of Celebration
The bridal table is always the focal point of any wedding reception—where the couple is celebrated, and the most memorable moments occur. The design was centred around romance, with abundant candles and lush, cascading clusters of white roses, orchids, and soft greenery. We incorporated candles of varying heights to bring warmth and ambience to the table.
A soft white draped backdrop behind the table provided a clean, neutral canvas that allowed the florals and candlelight to stand out without distraction. The subtle sheer fabric added a touch of luxury, enhancing the overall look without overwhelming the scene. The white dance floor completed the elegant setting.
This bridal table was a true reflection of the couple’s style—classic, elegant, romantic, and full of understated glamour.

The wedding cake was a work of art, positioned near the bridal table as an instant focal point. Standing tall with multiple tiers, the cake featured textured detailing, soft white fondant, clusters of fresh white flowers, and delicate pearls. A stunning design and flawless execution made this cake a standout feature of the wedding.
