For Aurelia’s 2nd birthday, we created a whimsical celebration filled with fairy dust, lush florals, and pure fantasy. Set at the beautiful Sergeants Mess overlooking Chowder Bay, this fairy garden birthday party brought together elegance and imagination in the most magical way.
A Fairy-Tale Come to Life
A life-sized, custom-designed fairy cottage stood as the focal point, framed by cascading pastel balloons and dreamy oversized blooms. Fairy entertainers fluttered throughout the space, guiding little guests with storytelling, playful games, and sparkling smiles. From the moment guests arrived, they were transported into Aurelia’s enchanting fairy garden.
Kids’ Table Styling: A Magical Feast for Little Fairies
At the heart of the celebration was the show-stopping kids’ table—thoughtfully styled to inspire wonder while remaining perfectly functional for little guests.
Each gold Tiffany chair was adorned with delicate fairy wings, transforming every seat into a whimsical throne. The table was layered with seasonal florals in soft lavender, blush, and ivory tones, spilling over moss-covered bases and dotted with butterflies for a true garden effect.
Overhead, a floating floral canopy added depth and movement, with butterflies suspended mid-air to enhance the dreamlike setting. Each place setting was styled with custom-designed paperie by Starfruit Design, including personalised water bottle wraps, charming favour boxes filled with goodies, and fairy-themed props. Magic wands and miniature fairies completed the look—turning the table into a fairyland all on its own.
This wasn’t just a party table—it was an immersive experience designed for little fairies to dine, play, and dream.
The Cake & Backdrop Design
The cake area stood out as a true storybook scene. A custom fairy house and whimsical tree design framed the setting, paired with pastel plinths, floral surrounds, and delicate touches of tulle, balloons, and oversized paper flowers. The centrepiece was a magical pastel cake, styled to perfection.
